About.
A studio first, a company second.
Born inside real sessions
Okina Audio is a one-person plug-in studio based in Japan. Every tool here started as a small frustration inside a working session: a loudness check that needed a second app, an equalizer screen that was hard to read at 2 a.m., a compressor that behaved differently from what its panel promised.
We do not try to replace the tools your DAW already gives you. We build the small, precise instruments we wished existed, and we only ship them after they have survived weeks of daily mixing work.
Measure first
Our rule is simple: measure first, then build. Curves are compared against theory, processors are null-tested against references, and CPU cost is profiled on real projects. Marketing adjectives are cheap; measurements are not. If a feature cannot be verified, it does not ship.
Why free?
These plugins are built for our own sessions first, so the hard costs are already paid. Sharing them costs little, and the feedback that comes back makes every next tool better. If one of them saves you time, telling a friend is more than enough payment.
Say hello
If a tool helped you, broke something, or is missing exactly one feature you need, we want to hear about it. Reach us through the blog, or reply to any newsletter.
